Whenever human performance problems emerge the possibility of offering enhanced performance support should always be explored before resorting to more complex and expensive traditional training interventions. BLS generally prefers to embed support tools in the work process where learning is accessed in the context of the work flow. Informal performance support tools are often adopted by employees who post reminders or notices around their monitor. However, we design and produce far more sophisticated solutions ranging from keyboard overlays to quick reference cards, mouse mats, posters, electronic wall displays and electronic performance support systems.
